Happy Birthday to Us!

This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Arden Park Recreation and Park District. A lot has changed in 60 years and we hope that this will be one of the best years yet. We are constantly looking for new and innovative ideas and hope to add more programs as the year goes on. Keep an eye out for special Spring Break programs, Movies in the Park, new fitness classes and more.

And as a special treat, join us on April 24th for Family Day in the Park. We’ll have music, food, games, bounce houses and more to help us celebrate the special atmosphere that only the Arden Park neighborhood can provide.

The First Annual Arden Bark Dog Show was a Huge Success!  

The Arden Park Recreation and Park District, in association with the Sacramento SPCA, hosted the first annual Arden Bark Dog Show on September 12th. Over 100 people brought their dogs (and two llamas-seriously, there were llamas in the park!) out for a great day of contests, food and fun. Twenty vendors were there showing off their products and promoting animal adoption.

The proceeds from the event were shared by the SPCA and the park district. The district will use the funds to help promote free events such as Music in the Park, Movies in the Park and our holiday special events.

The 2010 Arden Bark Dog Show has been tentatively scheduled for September 25th. Keep an eye on the events calendar and bring your dog out next year!
