Private Tennis Lessons

Private, semi-private and group lessons are offered as drop in classes year-round.

Private single and private group lessons are paid using credits that are available for purchase in the park district office or through the district’s website at www.aprpd.org. If you purchase credits online, present your receipt to the tennis instructor, who will issue you your card. Lessons are arranged by contacting tennis pro Betsy Kessing at 916-947-5195.

Private (1 student), semi-private (2 students) , and Groups (up to 8 students)

Adults- $60/hour

Juniors- $50.00/hour

Groups Offered: Sunday 8:00-9:30 AM (SATA 3.5 and Below Ability)

                             Monday 9:00-10:00 AM (SATA 3.5 and Below Ability)

                             Friday 6:00-7:30 PM March-October (SATA 3.5 and Below Ability)

Session Times:

Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 & 9:

Peewee (Ages 4-6) 3:30-4:00 p.m.

Junior Division I (Ages 7-11) 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Junior Division II (Ages 12-17) 5:00-6:00 p.m. (no Junior Session 9)

Sessions 5 & 6:

Peewee (Ages 4-6) 8:00-8:30 a.m. & 6:00-6:30 p.m.

Junior Division I (Ages 7-11) 8:30-9:30 a.m. & 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Junior Division II (Ages 12-17) 9:30-10:30 a.m. & 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Session Fees:

Minimum 3 Students

Pewee (1 unopened can USTA Championship Heavy Duty tennis balls)

Residents: $40

Non-Residents: $48

Junior Division (2 unopened cans USTA Championship Heavy Duty tennis balls)

Residents: $80

Non-Residents: $96

Summer Group Camps

Our tennis pro will be serving up the fun in these week-long tennis camps. We mix in some summer camp-style fun while providing a game-based approach to learning about the sport of tennis. Players will be hitting the ball in minutes and learning to rally in a team-oriented environment, all in the spirit of cooperative competition. Minimum 6, Maximum 16.

Time:   9:00-10:15 a.m.

Fees:    Resident $50

Non Resident $55 

Ages: 8-13

Days:   Monday-Friday  

Time:   10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
